3D Computer Scanning

Partnered with a nationwide leader in foot scanning technology, Bobby Tindal is one of only a few AMFIT clinical trainers in the United States. "I can do things with the foot fax scanner that other's wouldn't believe". Bobby has made AMFIT orthotics from the initial scan to sanding and finishing for the past 10 years. Plantar surface control and conform issues such as callouses, morton's neuroma, plantar fasciitis and heel spurs are some of the everyday diagnoses we treat with the Foot fax SL. Amputation Toe fillers, diabetic pressure relief insoles and even graphite running orthotics are within the capabilities of the 3D digitizer. Any density, shape and the ability to carve a foot model as well makes this unit a very valuable tool for treating our patients.

Plaster/Fiberglass Casting

With the many possible uses of orthotics this method ensures a very precise, functional level of control needed in most deformation cases. We use alignment and manipulation techniques to gently place the area being treated in the best possible casting position to obtain a functional orthosis.

Biofoam Impression Box

This method is regularly used when a patient requires a plastic support with higher than usual medial and longitudinal sides. We take our impressions in a sitting position and take special care to maintain proper position during the impression process. In the hands of a skilled practitioner this is a quick and very useful method.
